Using Total as Recurring Amount

First, this plugin is fantastic, bravo!

On to my question: I have a client that runs a subscription-based service. He sells a product at cost then adds a service fee to the total transaction. On the form, the user selects the number of products to buy, options that don't affect the price, and the service fee is added to the total as a separate product on the page, quantity disabled.

All is well and good up to this point. However, when I go to the PayPal settings, I only get the option to create the subscription with either the service fee amount or the product price (multiplied by quantity) and not the total field, which is what I'd like to send as the recurring amount to bill.

Why is the total field not an option for creating recurring billing? My client would like to charge his fee per order, not per product, so sending the total field would be ideal.

  2. Currently the Recurring billing is based on a single Product field.

We do plan on enhancing it to take into account all Product Fields. The problem are some limitations on the PayPal side of things, it only accepts a single line item for Recurring Subscription transactions. It doesn't accept multiple line items like standard payments do.

What we are going to have to do is combine all Products (and Options) selected and combine them into one line item. So we do plan on enhancing the Add-On to support this in a future release.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll figure out a workaround until then.
