Website Field Type Not Required, But Submits 'http://' as Custom Field

  1. I am using the website field type to submit a custom field to a wordpress post. Even though the field isn't required, it automatically submits 'http://' as the field value. Is it possible to remove this from the field or have it not submit?

    Thank you.
