Website is on one host, email on another host? Contact form going to work?

  1. I'm building a new site for a client. I am hosting their website only. They want to manage their own DNS servers so all we have done is change the website "A" records to my hosting service. If I build a gravity form using email routing logic. Such as for billing select "billing" and once they submit it goes to billing@company123.com this should work right? i simply don't want to run into any issues. Thanks, /tim

  2. There shouldn't be any issues with changing the DNS information. The only thing you will want to make sure is if the email for that domain is not hosted on the same host as the web site itself, you'll need to make sure that the we server is configured to route email remotely so that it doesn't try and deliver emails to that domain to itself.
