Your license key expires in 28 day(s).

    Hi,

I just did a new install and noticed this: "Your license key expires in 28 day(s)."

Does this mean that I won't be able to use the plug-in once the license key expires?

To be honest, I had no idea the license key DID expire. I thought the developer version was unlimited. Am I wrong?

    Thanks.

  2. Hi SoundsGood,

If you purchased your license key before June 1, 2010, it will never expire. Licenses purchased on or after June 1, 2010 expire after one year. The plug-in will continue to work after the license key has expired; however, you will no longer receive automatic updates for Gravity Forms or have access to the support forums and documentation.

    Posted updated to correct dates.

I see. How can I find out exactly when I purchased mine?

Also, when is the exact cut-off date?

    Thanks.

Since my license key is marked as expiring in October, I'm assuming I purchased it after June 2010 - although I'd have to look to be sure.

Why does the license key expire at all? It was my understanding that the Developer's License allowed me access to regular updates and the support forum for as long as I used the program. Did this change recently? If so, do I have any options for "re-activating" the license key?

    Thanks!

Yes, you purchased your license on October 5th so your current license will expire then. Nothing has changed recently, this license policy has been in effect since June of 2010. Yes, during your one-year license period you have full access to product updates, new product (add-on) releases and support resources.

To continue to have access to all of this, you're required to renew your license for another term. If you choose not to renew, your plugin will still work, you just won't have access to updates, support, etc.

Yes, you can renew your license at a discounted rate directly from the plugin settings page.. Forms>Settings and you'll find the renewal options about mid-way down the page.

    Hi Kevin,

Thanks so much for your quick response! I really appreciate it.

I would love to be able to renew my license when the time comes, but unfortunately the information you mention isn't on my settings page. I'm guessing it will appear once the time comes to renew?

Thanks again - you guys have been absolutely amazing and I'm thrilled with the program!
