On click form jumping to top of page on iPad Safari

  1. Hi,

The form is at the following link http://www.mirandaforms.com/nab

On all normal computer browsers as well as on Firefox browser on Android the form works perfectly.

HOWEVER, on Safari on iPad when you click on the radio button to select a answer to one of the questions it jumps to the top of the page.

I have no idea how to fix this.

The website is twentyeleven wordpress standard install with no modifications.

    Any help would be awesome

  2. Does this happen in the form preview as well?

  3. No, not that I'm aware of.

It only happens on iPhone and iPad devices running Safari. Opera works fine.

I checked Safari on my computer and it works fine, so its a glitch that only happens on Safari on iPads and iPhones.

  4. have you tried viewing the preview page on the iPad is what I was asking. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

I can reproduce it on the iPad as well, but not on the desktop version of Safari with the IOS 4.3.3 (iPad) user agent enabled. I haven't seen this before so not sure offhand what it might be.

  5. Oh no I have not. The problem is my client wants to run it on the iPad for a tradeshow this coming weekend and it is the ONLY device it has issues on. It works on Opera on the iPad but they are complaining that it should work on Safari as well (and sadly I agree haha). They prefer Safari.

Is there anyway to fix this?

  6. Nope. No idea how to fix this so far.. we have to figure out what's causing it first. Can you test your form in the preview window on the iPad and let me know what you find out? If it works there properly, then there's some weirdness somewhere with the theme. Either way, that will help eliminate that variable.

  7. Ok I tested it out on the iPad and went to form preview and it did the same thing, jumped to the top of the page even while in form preview.

  10. So far I have created a handful of new forms in the twentyeleven theme, tested with my iPad and can't replicate the issue with the radio buttons or checkbox inputs. I'm still testing, but can't seem to recreate the issue you're having.. I've tried single & multi-page forms, forms with conditional logic, ajax, etc. No dice.

Have you tried disabling other plugins to see if they're introducing some scripting or something into the pages that might be causing the weird behavior?
